Pricing - create, duplicate or edit

Pricing plans are a schedule of various daily, usage, demand, network and other utility tariffs that are attached to customer accounts for billing.

Important: Price plans and schedules already invoiced cannot be deleted.

To add and edit price plans, go to the Maintenance menu, Billing & Invoicing and select Pricing. Inactive price plans can be viewed by enabling the "Show hidden price plans" toggle.

Create price plan

If a new price plan is required, select Create Price Plan from the Price Plan Actions dropdown button.

Enter the below information in the "Create Price Plan" screen, then click Create Price Plan. 

• Price Plan Code (not visible to your customers)
• Price Plan Description (not visible to your customers)
• Product type - the product type the price plan will apply for
• Product sub type - Default "ALL"
• Distribution network the price plan belongs to
• Bundled

Note: Enter your tariff pricing excluding tax.

Power

If power was selected as the product type you will need to enter the below (excluding tax), then click create price plan.

All day charges 

• Start Date
• Daily Charge in your currency per day
• Usage Charge in your currency per kWh
• Solar rate in your currency per kWh (optional)

Time-of-use charges (excluding tax)

• Start Date
• Timing profile
• Daily Charge per day
• Peak or All-day rate per kWh
• Off-peak rate per kWh (optional)
• Shoulder rate per kWh (optional)
• Solar rate per kWh (optional)

Gas

If product type gas was selected, you'll need to enter the below (excluding tax), then click create price plan.

• Start date
• Daily Charge per day
• Usage Charge per unit of gas

Water

If the product type water was selected, you'll need to enter the below (excluding tax), then click create price.

• Start Date
• Daily Charge per day
• Water consumption rate

Duplicate a price plan

To duplicate an existing price plan, select Duplicate Price Plan from the Price Plan Actions dropdown button.  

Select the plan from the dropdown list you wish to duplicate, then click Save. The duplicate price plan will be created and displayed within the price plan list with a unique price plan Code (eg _01 added to the original Price Plan Code)

Tip:  If you have duplicated a price plan that has schedules which are not required, you can remove these using Edit Price Plan. These can only be deleted if the schedule has not been used in any billing.

Edit a price plan

To edit an existing price plan, select the price plan you want to edit, then select Edit Price Plan icon. 

The Edit Price Plan has 3 sections;

• Price Plan details
• Fixed schedules - daily and monthly rates
• Usage schedules - unit usage rates

Make your changes and click Save.
