Buildings - add price plans
Utilmate has the ability to automatically allocate price plans to a customer moving into buildings based on their customer type and payment method (optional).
To add a building price plan, go to the Maintenance menu, Utility Services and select Buildings. Click the Add button in the Building Price Plans section.
Enter the below information in the "Add building price plan" wizard screen, then Save.
- Customer type
- Price plan
- Default price plan - check this if you would like this price plan to be the default for this building.
- Generally Available - check this if you would like this price plan to be included in Better Offer calculations.
- Is direct debit - check this is you would like this price plan to be for customers on a direct debit payment method.
Direct debit and non-direct debit building price plans
If you want to offer a discounted rate to customers on direct debit, users can now designate building price plans specifically for direct debit or non-direct debit customers.
To enable automatic price plan assignment based on payment method, each building must have at least two building price plans per customer type: one for direct debit customers and one for non-direct debit customers.
To set this up, follow the steps to add a building price plan, ensuring that:
- One price plan has the "Is Direct Debit" checkbox unchecked (for non-direct debit customers).
- One price plan has the "Is Direct Debit" checkbox checked (for direct debit customers).
Make sure the "default price plan" checkbox is checked for both the price plans as the automatic price plan assignment process will only assign default price plans.
