Consolidate accounts
Consolidating accounts is the process of merging one or more accounts from one customer to another. The most common use of this is if a customer is getting separate electricity/gas/water bills and asks to receive a single bill for all products.
Tip: Note down the customer account(s) you want to consolidate.
Go to the account you wish to consolidate by clicking on the Services menu, then the Account tab. Select the Consolidate option from the Account Options dropdown.
Enter the below information into the Consolidate Accounts wizard screen, then save.
- Account number - this is the account number of the customer you want to consolidate all accounts too
This process will:
- Close the existing account as at the date it has been billed up to.
- Create a new account from the day after this on the new customer.
- Move any unbilled read reads to the new account.
