Estimated reads
Estimated reads are calculated in several ways. One primary method uses the Estimated Daily Consumption (EDC), which can be found under the Meters tab in the Services menu.
The EDC value is calculated and updated overnight. If a user sets the EDC manually, the system will use the manual value instead of the system-generated one.
Below are the different ways the EDC is calculated:
ACT2EST: If the site has an actual read, then a read-based estimate will be used to calculate the EDC. The system will calculate the difference between the actual start read and actual end read over the number of days multiplied by the multiplier.
AVGSPEND: If there are no actual reads, then the system will calculate the average spend estimate divided by the number of meters.
IMPORTMTR: If the meter is a solar meter, then the EDC will not be calculated and will be set to 0.
