Add a meter read

Meter reads can only be added for basic or deemed meters.  AM (interval) reads must be imported via a file.

Reads can be added individually to a meter from within Utilmate. Click on the Services menu, then Basic Reads screen.  Click on the + button. 

Enter the below information in the Add Basic Reads screen and Save.

• Read Sub Type - this is the type of read:
  • ACTUALC  is a customer-provided read
  • ACTUAL is an actual read from a meter reader
  • ACTUAL is a manually estimated read
  • INVOICE_EST is an estimated read as part of the invoicing process
  • CLOSING is a closing read for a move-out.
  • MISREAD is a read done in error (will be ignored for billing purposes).
  • OPENING is an opening read for a move in.
• Meter Read - the read value (before multiplier and including any decimal places.
• Read Date - date the read was taken.  Can be today or in the past.
• Add Factor - only required if it is a dial meter going around the clock eg from 99950 to 000010.
• Estimate Read - used if you would like Utilmate to estimate a read for you.
• Audit reference - notes or references you have for the read.

Utilmate will check the read in the same way it would a meter read being imported by file.

• If the meter read passes all checks, it will appear in the meter read screen.
• If the meter read fails one or more checks, it will appear in the import meter read dashboard screen for review.
