Mobile meter reader (MMR)

Important: Add field agents to the Meter Reader security group.
Access
Device login: For field agents, log in on your device at https://mmr.utilmate.com.
CRM login: Click on the question mark in the top right-hand corner and select Mobile Meter Reading from the drop-down options,
Locations
Once logged in, a listing of your buildings is displayed, ready for you to start your readings. Tap on the ENTER READS button for the location you wish to enter reads for.
Meters and reads
A list of addresses and their meters at this location are displayed on your Meter List screen and sorted by the read sequence. To start entering your reads, tap on Enter Reads in the navigation menu.
The first address and meter are displayed. Enter the meter read in the Enter Meter Read field. Go to the next address by clicking the NEXT button or PREVIOUS button to go back. Your meter read is automatically saved and ready for submission.
Enter a note
To enter a meter note, tap on the Edit icon .
Add a photo or upload an image
To add a photo or upload an image of the meter read, click on the camera image then select photo library, take photo or choose file to upload, then Close. This image will be submitted to the CRM when the reads are submitted. To view the image in CRM, locate your customer, go to the Services menu, and click on Basic Reads.
Validation
If the system thinks the meter read that has been entered is too high or too low, a Check Read validation is displayed.
Tip: You may wish to check the site meter number is the same as in CRM.
The most common types of meters are dial display, digital and electronic.
- For dial display meters, record the numbers from left to right.
- For digital meters, read the numbers from left to right including any leading zeros.
- For electronic display meters, simply enter all the numbers.
You may notice the below symbols on your read screen:
The green sync icon indicates that your data and the Utilmate host server location have synced successfully to your device.
The red sync icon indicates that data has not synced due to no internet connection and data is saved to your device. The data will sync as soon as you are connected to the internet.
When you've finished entering the reads, tap on Meters List in the navigation menu. The address and their meters are displayed with the entered reads.
Unsynced reads
If your reads have not synced with the Utilmate host server location, the SYNC button will be displayed. When your internet connection is re-established, tap the SYNC button.
The number above the completion bar reflects the number of entries that are currently unsynced.
Export data
If you cannot re-establish your internet connection, you can export the data and email it to your office. Tap on the 3 dots in the top right-hand and select Export Data.
Reset/delete reads
If you wish to erase your meter reads that have not been submitted, tap on the 3 dots in the top right-hand and select Reset Data.
Important: This will reset all locations.
Submit reads
To submit your reads, go to the Locations screen (tap on the top-left arrow) and click on the SUBMIT button for the location you wish to submit reads for. These reads are now imported into CRM and are located in the Import Meter Reads on your Dashboard ready for processing by someone in the office.
Note: The submit button will only submit completed reads. After submission, the reads for the location will be refreshed and ready for the next read cycle.
