Replace a meter
To replace a meter with an existing account, locate the account then select the Services menu, then Site tab. Click on Add Meter to open the Add meter wizard.
Tip: You can search by any number or combination of search fields available to find the customer, however Site identifier may be the most useful.
Select Yes to replace a new meter.
Enter the below information:
- Meter to be replaced
- Final meter read
- Final read date
Enter the below information:
- Meter code - this must match the meter code that will be received in the meter read files.
- Meter register - this is used for peak/offpeak metering and must match the meter register that will be received in the meter read files.
- Meter status - should be set to active.

Meter type - must match the meter type for the selected price plan. Typically the following meters types will be used:
- All Day
- Peak
- Off-Peak
- Shoulder
- Cold Water
- Multiplier - all reads will be multiplied by this factor.
- Dial format
Click on Save. A new meter will be added to the site.
