Mail merge templates - edit

Utilmate automatically generates and sends a large number of emails, letters and SMS's to your customers.  Theses merge templates allow you to customise customer communications by combining predefined content with dynamic account, billing, and customer data.

These templates are stored in the Letters Emails and SMS menu option and able to be edited by you.

To view your current list of correspondence, go to the Maintenance menu, System Configuration and select Letters, Emails and SMS.

Templates types are:

• EMAIL - [template name]: these templates are used when sending your customers an email. 
• PDF - [template name]: these templates are used when posting your customer's letter.

Note: All templates are in HTML format and users should have a basic understanding of HTML before editing.

Editing HTML templates

Select Edit HTML template from the Template actions dropdown list.

The Edit HTML Template wizard is displayed. Select the brand of HTML template you would like to edit from the dropdown box.

Select the HTML template you would like to edit from the dropdown box, then click on Next to edit.

The HTML source on the left is available for you to make your changes, and a preview of the template is on the right.  

Make your changes to the HTML source and click on Refresh Preview button and the template is updated and displayed for your review. 

If you are happy with your changes, click on Save.   If you are not happy with your changes, click on the Back button.
