Mail merge template section elements
Section elements are used to establish the basic layout of your email, SMS and letter templates.
Tip: If you do not wish to include a section element in your correspondence, do not populate the element with content.

Email subject (text element)
The subject line of an email is the single line of text people see when they receive your email. It's perhaps the most important few words in the entire email. It's the first impression, it's your tagline, it's the reason the recipient will, or will not open it.

Brand colours
Your primary colour helps consumers to quickly identify a brand and is the core colour of your brand. Commonly, primary colours are incorporated into a company’s logo.

A secondary colour highlights and compliments the primary colour. They usually have a range of 1-6 colours. Companies can decide to have an infinity of secondary colours but we suggest limiting the colour palette as it helps with recognition and consistency.

The subject line specifies the topic of the correspondence, if included, comes between the salutation and the body.

Body content
The body of the letter is the main and largest part of a letter. The body is made up of three paragraphs. The first paragraph of the body of a letter should include the reason for writing. The second paragraph element should go into more detail about the subject. The last paragraph of the body should summarise the message and make any necessary clarifications.
