WorkForce - Edit work order
The Jobs screen in WorkForce allows field agents and office users to view, manage, assign, and update Work Orders within the system. Users can filter and manage jobs based on status, job type, assigned user, company, and required or completed dates to help organise daily field activities and operational workflows.
From the Jobs screen, users can:
- View and search Work Orders
- Edit existing job details
- Assign jobs to field agents
- Monitor job statuses and completion progress
- Manage unsafe or inaccessible locations
The Jobs Dashboard provides visibility across all active and completed work activities, helping teams coordinate and manage field operations efficiently.
To view your Work Orders, log in to WorkForce and select the Sync button to ensure you are viewing the latest information and updates.
Jobs can be viewed by:
Job status: Open, Completed, Abandoned or Cancelled
Job types: Connection, Disconnection, Meter Investigation, Meter Read, Meter Replacement, DeEnergize, ReEnergize or Card Drop.
Company: The company responsible for providing the service.
Assigned: The field agent or user assigned to complete the work order.
Required date: The date the Work Order is scheduled or required to be completed by.
Completed date: The date the Work Order was completed and finalised within the system.
Edit a job
To edit a job, select the required row to open the Edit Job screen. Make the necessary changes, then click Save to update the job details.
Assign a job
To assign a job to a field agent, select the required job row to open the Edit Job screen. From the Assign User dropdown list, select the required field agent, then click Save to update the assignment.
Tip: If a field agent determines that it is unsafe to enter a location, the Is It Safe? option can be toggled off. When disabled, the indicator will display in grey to show that the location has been marked as unsafe or requiring caution.
Approve/Unapprove jobs
Users can approve or unapprove Work Orders within the job to control whether work can proceed.
When a Work Order is marked as Approved, the required field work can commence and be actioned by the assigned field agent. When a Work Order is marked as Unapproved, the work cannot proceed until approval has been granted.
This process helps ensure that all required authorisations, scheduling, and operational checks are completed before field work begins.
