What is an adjustment?

Adjustments are one-off changes to a customer's account balance, which may either increase or decrease the customer's balance. They are normally given for one-off reasons, such as discounts for customer service reasons, refunding overpayment, charging or refunding bonds, or reversing dishonoured receipts.
