Smoothpay - set up

Setting up Smoothpay allows you to create a payment arrangement where a customer pays a consistent amount at regular intervals, rather than paying each invoice in full.

Smoothpay works by spreading a customer’s estimated energy costs across the year into equal instalments. This helps smooth out seasonal usage variations and makes payments more predictable and easier to manage.

In Utilmate, setting up Smoothpay ensures the payment schedule, frequency, and amounts are recorded against the account. This supports consistent payment collection, improves cash flow, and provides customers with a more manageable way to pay their bills.

Click on the Customer details menu, then Smoothpay. Cick on the [+] button to add a new Smoothpay plan.

Enter the below information into "Add Smoothpay Plan wizard" screen

• Account
• Opening balance
• Start date
• Frequency of payment
• Enter the amount to be paid

Click Save to finish.
